We Are Family

Here are some pics of my Prague "family." There are in total eight of us located in Prague: four guys and four girls. Rachael and I live in Praha (Prague) 4, and everyone else lives in Praha 6 across the Vlatava. All of us each teach at gymnรกziums, which are the closest thing to American public high schools, and two -- Rachael and Richard -- also work part-time at a language school new to Prague and run by Christians, Fishnet. Ben is from Indiana; Laura is from Illinois; Richard is from New Mexico; Britt is from Texas; Frank is from New York/California; Rachael is from California/Arizona; David is from England; and I am from good ole Chicago, Illinois. We are all-together the Prague team (sometimes includes Joseph and Zach, who live in very nearby Kralupy), but we also break up into smaller teams, as well. These smaller teams are our most basic support-levels, and they are an essential part of how ESI operates. (Because Jesus sent his disciples out purposely and two-by-two - Mark 6:7-13.) We joke that these small team units function almost like marriages, just without the sex. So... I am on a team with Rachael, Britt and Laura form a team, and the four guys together are a team.

At summer training in Pasadena, we took some Prague team photos. It was a pretty good time trying to get these to work. Unfortunately, Britt and Ben weren't at training at that time, so I'll make sure to identify them in some non-team photos.
